New Home Cemetery


March 20, 1924 - June 29, 2010

Glenda Aileen Hutcheson Logsdon was born March 20, 1924, on a farm northwest of Nash in Alfalfa County to Perry Amos and Mary Ellen Alley Hutcheson. She was the second of five children. She died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She graduated from Jet High School in 1942. After graduation she worked at Douglas Aircraft Co. in Tulsa, Okla., for 1 and 1/2 years during World War II, saving money so she could go to college. She then attended Oklahoma A&M College for three semesters. On July 22, 1946, she married the love of her life, John Wesley Logsdon. They made their home and farmed in the Nash area. In 1968 they moved to their current home in Nash.

She worked for the postal service as a clerk in the Nash Post Office and was appointed postmaster at the Jet office in June 1982, retiring in October 1992. She was a longtime member of Nash Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Zweiacker and husband Loran of Stillwater; son, John Lee Lodgston and wife Judy of Clovis, N.M.; grandchildren, Jeremy and Jessica Zweiacker of Stillwater, Jennifer and CJ Daley of Broken Arrow, Jillianne and Tanner Tebow of Stillwater, Emily Logsdon of Portales, N.M., and Zach Logsdon of Clovis, N.M.; great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Zweiacker of Stillwater and Katch Daley of Broken Arrow; and two brothers, Merle Hutcheson of Jet and Charles Hutcheson of Wichita, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister, Jean Drumm, and brother, Vernald Hutcheson.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at Nash Christian Church with the Rev. Dan O’Daniel officiating.

Interment will be in New Home Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek. Memorials may be made to Nash Christian Church.
