A Celebration of Life for Lyndie Shriver-Johnson, age 59 years, of Enid, is 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at North Garland Church of Christ, with John Russell, Jarod Johnson and Michael Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery, Nash, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 15, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Lyndie was born April 9, 1957, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Ocie and Bess (Logsdon) Shriver, and passed away Friday, November 11, 2016, in Oklahoma City. She attended Enid Schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1975. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Johnson, on February 22, 1975, and they made their home in Enid. They had three children, Carrie, Jarod, and Ashley.

Lyndie had a gift for being open and sharing with her love, so that many others also called her mom. She had a giving spirit and showed love to others. She showed her love by cooking for others and many random acts of kindness. For example, while she was in the hospital she had received a flower arrangement, but she graciously gave it to an elderly woman in the room next to hers who had no visitors. Even in her lowest times, she was always showing God's love.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ocie Shriver.

Lyndie is survived by her husband, Bruce Johnson, of the home in Enid; mother, Bess Shriver, of Enid; three children, Carrie Russell and husband John, of Enid, Jarod Johnson and wife Melissa, of Cameron, Missouri, Ashley Nichols and husband Michael, of Enid; four grandchildren, Josiah Russell, Bella Johnson, Isaiah Russell, and Bowen Johnson; two brothers, Roy Shriver and Rose of Enid and David Shriver and wife Cammy of Yukon; as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Memorials in Lyndie's name may be made to Provo Children's Home, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of funds.
