Geraldine was born May 5, 1938 in Blackwell to Homer Guy and Oralee Hair McConnell and died in a vehicle accident near Medford on Monday, December 1, 1997. She attended school in Blackwell and earned her GED in Illinois. On April 21, 1957 in Tonkawa, Geraldine married Arthur Robert Prince. Arthur was in the U. S. Air Force and the family traveled with him, living in many places in the United States and abroad. In 1972, when Arthur retired, the family lived in Billings, Marland, Blackwell, Tonkawa and Lamont. Geraldine was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church in Billings. She had worked at the Medford Nursing Home in several capacities and was employed there as a nurse's aide at the time of her death. Her smile and kind manner bought comfort to all she served. She loved camping and fishing and she enjoyed sewing, Knitting, and all types of crafts. she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur on January 8, 1996; her parents; three brothers, Homer Earl McConnell, Darwin Gene McConnell and Thomas Jefferson McConnell; three grandchildren, Joshua, Brandi Ann and Shannon Prince; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Lestell Hill Prince. Geraldine leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Robert Guy Prince of Arkansas City, Ks and Donald Eugene Prince and wife Susan of Lamont; three daughters, Jerie Jean Felty and husband Ronnie of Ponca City, Sherry Lynn Welch and husband Gene of Tonkawa and Helen Marie Hawkins (should be Hopkins) and husband Jeff of Blackwell; three brothers Garland Dean McConnell of Blackwell, Donald Lee McConnell and wife Lola, Billy Ray McConnell, SR. and wife Ruby, all of Lamont; tow sisters Geneva Mae Belair and husband Jack of Blackwell and Doris Irene Prince of Lamont; Thirteen grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Memorials may be made to the Lamont First Baptist Church with the funeral home serving as custodian.
