HUNTER - The funeral service for Robert Clyde Glen, Jr., age 93, of Hunter, will be at 11a.m. Tuesday May 11, 2010, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Brian Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Salt Fork. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Robert was born on July 10, 1916, to Robert Clyde, Sr. and Chloe Lea (Struble) Glen, on his father's homestead in Hunter, Okla., and died on Friday, May 7, 2010, in Enid.

He grew up and lived his entire life on the farm where he was born, and attended school at Enterprise Country School. He married Mary Frances Barnett on July 25, 1937, in Medford, and they were married for 64 years. She preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 2001. Robert was on the board of directors for Kay Electric for 21 years, and on the Garfield County ASCS Board for several years. He was a member of the Hunter Christian Church.

Robert is survived by his one daughter, Laurene Miller of Hunter; three grandchildren, Roger Miller and his wife, Darla of Sand Springs, James Miller and his wife, Stephanie of Garber, and Kim Miller of Hunter; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, and three sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Hunter Fire Department.
