Funeral services for Raymond Sinkbeil were held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, KS with Pastor Paul Stephens officiating. Graveside services were Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Manchester Cemetery, Manchester, OK with military honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.

Raymond Frederick Sinkbeil was born April 15, 1916 in Zeeland, North Dakota, to Adolph Sinkbeil and Pauline (Mehlhaff) Sinkbeil and died Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.at the age of 103. He married Helen (Waldschmidt) on June 6, 1950. They were married 46 years before she passed away. On November 01, 1998, Ray then married Nancy (Daniels-Seifried) Sinkbeil in Medicine Lodge, KS. and she survives. Ray was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific 48 months. He achieved the rank, Sergeant - Technician Fourth Grade, Headquarters company, 2nd Battalion, 164 Infantry.

He was a graduate of the University of North Dakota. , was a geologist and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, KS .

In addition to his wife Nancy Sinkbeil of Medicine Lodge, KS, he is survived by a son, Gregory Sinkbeil of Sand Springs, OK; one daughter, Charlita Sinkbeil of Aurora, CO; two grandchildren, Brett (Lindsey) Sinkbeil and Kyle (Whitney) Sinkbeil; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Reid, Case, and Tyler; one step-son, Patrick Daniels of Cincinnati, OH; two step-daughters, Margaret “Margie” (Todd) Hubbard of Kalvesta, KS and Kathleen (Tim) Dalton of Fayetteville, AR; Thirteen step-grandchildren, Abigail (Bryant) Callahan, Emily (Scott) Soptick, Hannah (Benjamin) Robinson, Heidi (Ryan) Christie, Sarah (Slade) Loewen, Katherine Hubbard, Nathaniel Hubbard, Andrew Dalton, Jason Dalton, Steven Daniels, Aaron Daniels, Samantha Daniels, and Ashley Daniels; three step-great-grandchildren, Eva, Ezra, and Lizzy.; siblings Calma Sapp and Gladys “Patty” Busk.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Helen (Waldschmidt) Sinkbeil, stillborn daughter Nola Rae Sinkbeil, 4 brothers, Walter, Carl, Edgar, and Leslie and 5 sisters, Verna Pfeifer, Gertrude Gansline, Eileen Willowby, Ramona Sinkbeil and Bernice Huber.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Medicine Lodge, Medicine Lodge Leisure Time Center or Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital in care of the funeral home.
