Manchester Cemetery


The graveside service for Johnnie L. Hess, 55, of Manchester, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, in Manchester Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Enabnit will officiate. Arrangements are by Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony, Kan. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was born Aug. 17, 1954, in Wichita, Kan., to Gerald and Pat Neilson Hess and died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, in Manchester.

He was a road and bridge employee for Grant County and a member of Manchester Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his children, Angela Hill of Anthony, Kan., James Robert Hess and Sereptia Hess, both of Enid, and Kohannah Hess of Cherokee; his parents, Pat and Gerald Hess of Manchester; one sister, Diana Hess of Bakersfield, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Memorials may be made to Manchester Cemetery.
