Manchester Cemetery

July 19, 1929 - May 28, 2014

ENID, Okla. — Patricia Jean Davis, 84, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Whidbey General Hospital, Coupeville, Wash., following a brief battle with pneumonia. She was born July 19, 1929, in Manchester, Okla., to Ervin and Verna Dietz.

Pat was born and raised in Manchester and graduated from high school in Manchester.

She was married and began raising her family, which grew to four children. Her marriage ended in divorce, and Pat soon found herself as a single parent with four children.

Pat was born on a farm and was a farm girl at heart. She loved animals and wildlife. She knew hard work, and for a time held down three jobs to support her family. She worked various jobs before finding the one she loved the most. She became postmaster for Manchester. This was a perfect fit for her, as she loved people. She was generous to a fault, always giving to others.

Everyone who drew near to Pat saw Jesus made clear by her actions. Pat loved gardening and travel. She was able to travel to locations around the world, including India, Cozamel and many others. Her family has lost a shining jewel.

Pat is survived by four children, Melinda Davis of Warner Robins, Ga., Susan Gregson and Jacqueline Fauria of Oak Harbor, Guewana Sams and Ed Sams of Edmond, Okla., and Keilan Davis and Anna Davis of Marathon, Fla. Four grandchildren, Hannah Reznicek, Rachel Reznicek, Nathaniel Reznicek and Taylor Davis also survive.

Patricia requested no formal funeral service be conducted. Cremation was held with private family interment to follow. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Wallin Funeral Home & Cremation LLC., Oak Harbor, Wash.

Friends and family are encouraged to share memories and condolences on Pat’s page in the Book of Memories at www.wallinfuneralhome.com.
