The funeral for Jennie Glorene Campbell, 83, of Lamont, will be 10 a.m. today, Nov. 29, 2008, at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel, Tonkawa. Vera Walton, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lamont Cemetery.

She was born May 21, 1925, in Hunter to John and Gladys Hisey and died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at her home.

She graduated from Hunter High School in 1943. She married Randall L. Campbell April 21, 1944, in Enid. She worked at Vance Air Force Base from 1943 to 1945. They made their home southeast of Lamont in 1946, and moved to town in 1969. She was a cook at Lamont School cafeteria from 1973 to 1989. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Lamont.

Surviving are her husband, Randall of the home; two daughters, Vicki Johnson of Blackwell and Gayla Youngblood of Enid; two brothers, Gene Hisey of Hunter and Dean Hisey of Wagoner; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

September 2, 1924 - January 5, 2022

A Celebration of Life service for Randall L. "Randy" Campbell, age 97, of Lamont, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2022, in the Lamont United Methodist Church, with Rev. Davidson Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Lamont Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Randy was born September 2, 1924, in Raton, NM, to Wilbur and Mae (Bacon) Campbell and passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in St. Mary's Hospital.

He was raised Southwest of Salt Fork where he attended a country school and later graduated from Hunter High School in 1943. He entered into the U.S. Army on September 29, 1943, and served during WWII in the South Pacific on the Island of Peleliu and was honorably discharged on February 15, 1946. Randy came back and married the love of his life, Jennie Hisey, on April 21, 1944, and she passed away November 26, 2008. He was a lifetime member of Lamont United Methodist Church. Randy had a passion for farming and ranching. He was known as the kindest, gracious, most humble individual. Randy was also known for his homemade bread, oatmeal raisin cookies, and peanut brittle.

He is survived by his two daughters, Vicki and husband Gene Johnson of Blackwell and Gayla and husband Paul Youngblood of Enid; 5 grandchildren, Holli and Brad Schultz, Kelli and Tyler Schovanec, Kerri and Dusty Johnson, Mindy Tripp and husband Will and Jason Johnson and wife Cara Beth; 14 great-grandchildren, Anna, Jaci, Landon, Caleb, Addison, Cason, Evan, Caden, Jackson, Hadley, Landry, Harper, Wyatt, and Hazel; and sister Jean Nelson of Waco, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kendall and Dale; and sister Edna Jenkins.

Memorials may be made to Lamont United Methodist Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
