My name is Terry Whitehead and I have been doing research on the Tornado that hit Eddy on June 7, 1901. Belle and Lennie McGathan, a mother and child, were killed during this time.This was taken from the newspapers of the times. I'm on the board of TOHS in Blackwell and have been doing research of many subjects for years.
Both were killed running to their cave.
