Mrs. Jenkins Rites Thursday
Mrs. Minnie Jenkins, a lifelong resident of Kay and Grant counties, died at 2:53 p.m. Monday in Blackwell General Hospital. She was 76.
Final rites have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday in Roberts and Son chapel, Rev. Ralph Patterson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Home Cemetery at Eddy.
Mrs. Jenkins was born in the Eddy community on Jan. 1, 1896, and lived her life in northern Oklahoma. She had been in Blackwell since 1933.
She is survived by one son, Coleman Jenkins, Ponca City; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maudie Jenkins, Ponca City; four grandchildren; one brother, Andrew McBrain of Blackwell, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were two sons, L. L. (Sonny) Jenkins, in 1958 and Jack Jenkins in 1962.
Mrs. Jenkins resided in recent years at 1122 South Main and was residing in Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home at the time of her death.

Funeral Set For M. Jenkins
The funeral service for Mrs. Minnie Jenkins will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Roberts and Son chapel. Rev. Ralph Patterson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Casketbearers have been announced and will be Glenn Brumbaugh, Glenn Stewart, Irvan Parmely, Harold Weigle, Lawrence Youell, and Clark Griffin.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time for the service. The casket will be closed during final rites and afterward.
Burial will be in New Home Cemetery at Eddy.
