Shanelle Ellen Baxter Watts

Shanelle Ellen (Baxter) Watts, a Coalgate resident, was born on April 16, 1972, to Robert Max and Linda Rae (Patterson) Baxter, at Alamosa, Colorado and passed away on April 11, 2023, at Coleman, Oklahoma at the age of 50 years, 11 months and 26 days. She attended Cottonwood and Coalgate Schools. Shanelle graduated from Coalgate High School. She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She was pursuing an Accounting Degree at Southeastern and a second Master's Degree at East Central University. Shanelle was an accountant for Choctaw Nation. She taught at Milburn Public Schools for several years where she influenced many lives. Shanelle loved being involved in the Amish Community. She married John Watts on June 2, 2018 at Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Shanelle was a member of the Victory Life Church of Atoka, Oklahoma. She enjoyed reading and playing water sports. Her favorite times were spent with her grandchildren.
