Services for Alfred Lavern Webb were conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Claude Williams, minister of the Marsden Baptist Church.

Mr. Webb was born January 21, 1938, at Lone Grove, the son of O.B. and Louise McGee Webb, and died March 22, 1996, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 58.

A resident of Thackerville for the past three years, Mr. Webb had previously made his home at Lone Grove for 21 years. He was a retired truck driver and had served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Webb was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dewayne and Lisa Webb of Ardmore and Marty and Brenda Webb of Lone Grove; a daughter and son-in-law, Janey and Harold Gray of Wilson; a brother, Louie Webb of Woodward; and four grandchildren, Dawn Gray and Journey Gray of Wilson, Brandon Webb of Lone Grove and Megan Webb of Ardmore. Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his parents.

Interment in the McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook, was under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Ricky Lawrence, Walter Ray Lee, Clyde Clark, Randy Sanders, Charles Clark and Steve Reeves.
