Services for Bonnie Mae Riddle, 73, of Marietta were held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 10 in the Shady Dale Baptist Church with Rev. Claude Williams and Rev. John Sconce officiating.
Interment followed in the
McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook.
Born March 14, 1940 in Ardmore, the daughter of Arthur Lee and Ada May
Rose Faulkner, she died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in Mercy Health Love
County, Marietta.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Elmer Faulkner
and Ray Faulkner; and a sister, Imarie Fortenberry.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Riddle of the home; a son, Don
Riddle of Marietta; a daughter, Treasia Ann Riddle, also of Marietta;
three grandchildren, Destiny Riddle and Dakota Stone, Chris Riddle and
Clifton Riddle; a great-grandchild, Zoey Stone; and a niece, Virginia
Blakley and husband, Darrell of Byron, Mississippi.
Honorary bearers
were Dr. J.T. O’Connor, Katie Oliphant, Chris Riddle, Michael Campbell,
Richard and Jenna Robinson and the staff of Lake Country Nursing Center
and Mercy Health Love County.

Services for Charles Ernest Riddle, 79, of Marietta were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 12 in Marietta’s First Baptist Church with Reverend Claud Williams and Reverend John Sconce officiating.
Interment with military rites provided by a U.S. Army honors team followed in McAlister Cemetery near Overbrook.
Born October 22, 1939, at Ardmore, the son of Paul and Pauline West Riddle, he died Sunday, December 9, 2018, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.
A resident of Love County most of his life, Ernest graduated from Turner High School in 1959. He and Bonnie Mae Faulkner were married August 10, 1962, in Marietta, and she preceded him in death on May 8, 2013. Ernest was employed as a stacker at Marietta Sportswear Manufacturing for many years. While serving in the U.S. Army, he successfully completed the 63rd Quartermaster Battalion Motor Transport Course in Fort Lee, Virginia in 1963 and was honorably discharged on October 31, 1968. A very devout Christian, Ernest was a lay minister, an ordained deacon at Marsden Baptist Church, song leader at Shady Dale Baptist Church for many years and also led the devotion every Monday morning at Marietta Sportswear. He was currently a member of Marietta’s First Baptist Church. His hobbies included gardening, flowers, and raising chickens.
In addition to his wife, Ernest was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a son, Don Riddle of the home; daughter, Treasia Ann Riddle of the home; four sisters, Mary Ann Landrum and husband Bill of Ardmore, Bernice Quisenberry and husband Richard of Marietta, Betty Turner of Ardmore, and Alice Taylor of Sycamore, Ohio; brother-in-law, Bill Ross and wife Marie of the Shady Dale community; three grandchildren, Destiny Riddle, Chris Riddle, and Clifton Riddle; and a great-granddaughter, Zoey Maelynn Stone.
Serving as pallbearers were Charles Campbell, William Landrum, Herschel Peery, James Holt, Cecil Holt, and Roger Romines. Honorary bearers were Clifton Riddle, Chris Riddle, and Michael Campbell.
