Della Mae Morgan-Khulman, 88, was called home by her Lord and savior on Monday, November 27, 2017, at Ardmore. She was born to the late Herbert Medford and Willie Mae Coward Hebel on January 28, 1919, at Palacios, Texas.
She and Joseph Herschel Morgan were married January 25, 1945, at Bay City, Texas. They were parents of six children, Wayne, Joseph, Morris, Danny, Rebecca and Deborah. Herschel became an ordained Baptist minister and together they ministered to over 16 churches. In 1975 she and her husband moved to Marsden in Love County where he was the pastor of the Marsden Baptist Church. In 1979 they moved to Ardmore where he was the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church and other churches in this area. They had celebrated 63 years of marriage when Herschel passed away December 10, 2008. In 2009, Della was married to Bro. John Kuhlman and they were active in the Springdale Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. A member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Della was also a faithful member of the Women’s Missionary Union, the Homemakers of America. She always enjoyed entertaining, gardening, feeding and watching the birds in her yard; but most of all she loved the time she had with her family, especially the grandchildren, she dearly loved each one.
Della was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pastor Herschel Morgan; son Morris Morgan; two granddaughters, Paula Whitehead Pinkston and Tracey Morgan Wilkinson; two brothers, Medford Lee Hebel and Herbert James Hebel; two brothers, Medford Lee Hebel and Herbert James Hebel; two sisters, Marie McBride and Doris Gleason Herbert; son-in-law, Jerry Cope; and her loving dog, Jordan.
Survivors include her husband, Bro. John Kuhlman of Oklahoma City; sons, Wayne Morgan and wife Ernell, Joseph Morgan and wife Ann, Danny Morgan and wife Pamela and Manuel Kishketon; daughters, Rebecca Morgan Cope Quisenberry and husband Scott and Deborah J. Conley and husband Richard; sister, Barbara Ford and husband Dale; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A time of visitation and support for family and friends will be Friday, December 1 from 6 until 7 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2 in the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Ardmore with Pastor Donny Custar, Pastor Manuel Kishketon and Pastor Kevin Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Crinerville Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Morgan, Johnny Venable, James Franks, Buster Venable, Steven Morgan, Danny Lee Morgan, Joshua Morgan and Casey Conley. Honorary pallbearers will be Louie Kishketon Riley Morgan and Troy Whitehead.
