Boggy Bend Cemetery
Stringtown, Atoka County, Oklahoma

© Ruth Atteberry Adams & Area Coordinators

This little abandoned burial site is west of Fred's Fish Camp near Atoka Lake. It is fenced, but the fence is in bad need of repair. It was canvassed August 8, 1979 by Janice Allen and Gwen Walker. On that date four stones were found and a number of unmarked graves. When our list was compared with that of Miss Mildred Toaz, who canvassed the site on October 5, 1957, we found that she had recorded nine graves which we did not find. They have been added to the stones we found
If you have family buried in the Boggy Bend Cemetery or can take a gate photo or have obits (with newspapers permission or an obit that you can write) or tombstone photos or individual portraits or can write a short bio or have a history of the cemetery and would like to add your information to this website, contact the area coordinator for more information. You can also check out our How to Submit page.
NOTICE. If you submit information to this website and change your e-mail address please notify the area coordinator with the county/cemetery and new e-mail address so we can keep our pages as up to date as possible.
