October 28, 1965 ~ April 07, 2021

Carla Sue (Smith) Custar was born to Vernon and Mary (Munn) Smith on October 28, 1965 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She flew into the arms of the Lord on April 7, 2021 at the age of 55 years, 5 months, and 10 days. Carla grew up in the Cyril area, graduating from Cyril High School with the Class of 1984. She was married to Pastor Jay D. Custar on July 4, 2015.

Carla was a beautiful, one of a kind soul. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved the outdoors, doing anything from planting flowers, playing with her kitties, hiking, walking to her family’s cabin, meeting friends for early morning coffee on the porch, playing horseshoes with her family, playing dominos on the porch for hours, and especially riding and caring for horses. She never met a stranger and made a lasting impression on every person she ever met. She had a way of making you feel like you had known her for years just by talking for a little while. She was loved by so many and had many friends who called her their Bestie. She made every friend feel they were so special to her, and I know she was to them. She made this world a brighter, happier place. She was ornery as they come. She would play jokes and leave voice messages of her singing silly songs. She never missed an opportunity to laugh, and when she got started laughing, she would sneeze uncontrollably. Carla was kindhearted and so loving to everyone around her. She was always selfless and humble. Carla loved Jesus and was always quick to give Godly advice. Her faith was unwavering, and she would stop everything to pray for anyone who needed it. She loved talking about Jesus and wanted everyone around her to be saved. Even though she will be missed terribly, there is no doubt she is in heaven watching over us all.

Carla was preceded in death by her sister, Sonya Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Custar of the home; parents Vernon and Mary Smith; children Roberto Rivera and wife Dede, Sammy Rivera and wife Monica, Jory Custar and wife Calee, and Julia Blakemore and husband Michael, grandchildren, Jansen and Jordy, nephews Mike Gibson and Dusty Beard, and niece Crystal Beard as well as many other relatives and friends.http://www.okcemeteries.net
