Funeral services for Mr. Cecil R. Moles, age 64, a resident of Dewey, will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp Funeral Home. Rev Waymond White, pastor of Life Ministries Church, will serve as the officiant. Graveside military rites will be accorded Mr. Moles on the family plot of the Dewey Cemetery by the Dewey V.F.W. and the James H Teel American Legion Post No. 105. Services are under the direction of the Neekamp Funeral Home.

Casketbearers for the service are Cecil R. Moles, Jr., Kenneth Burnett, Steve Burnett, Max Burchett, Jr., Brian Scullawl, and Jim Ness. Honory casketbearers are Matthew Williams, Shawn Haley, Willis Haley, and Christopher Haley.

Mr. Moles is surviving by his wife, Edith, of the home in Dewey; two sons, Cecil R. Moles, Jr. And Thomas Moles, both of Dewey; five daughters, Dianna Banks, Elizabeth Booth and Dona Garner and Bernice Moles, all of Bartlesville, and Leslie Moles of the home in Dewey; one brother, Virgil Moles of Skiatook, OK; two sisters, Nellie Purcell and Dorothy Horn, both of Hominy, OK; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Shelly Scullawl of the home in Dewey.

Cecil R. Moles, age 64, a resident of Dewey and longtime area resident, died Wednesday at 9:17 p.m. in the Jane Phillips Episcopal Memorial Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp Funeral Home with the Rev Waymond White, Pastor of Life Ministries Church officiating. Graveside military rites will be accorded in Dewey Cemetery by the Dewey V.F.W. and James H. Teel American Legion Post No. 105. Services and internment are under the direction of the Neekamp Funeral Home.

A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Moles was born July 17, 1927 at Hominy. He was the son of Fate and Dollie [Rudisell] Moles. He received his schooling there. As a young man, he served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He received his honorable discharge in 1952. Mr. Moles returned to Hominy where he worked for the Big Heart Oil Company, the Public Service Company and later was self-employed as an electrical. Mr. Moles lived in Cleveland where he worked for the Elledge Music Company before moving to the Bartlesville area. He married Edith McCarty in May 1968.

During Mr. Moles' career, he also worked for the Bartlesville Water Department and the Oklahoma Beverage Company. He was working for Coast Cement Company at the time of his retirement.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church; had been a very active member of V.F.W. Post #989, for which he served as post commander in 1981; had received the R.C. "Pop" Holliman Award in 1978-1979; the L.C. Pop Holliman Award 1979-1980; recipient of the traveling Platt Buddy Poppies in 1981; and the Outstanding Poppy Award in 1991.

Survivors include his wife, Edith, of the home in Dewey; two sons, Cecil R. Moles, Jr. and Thomas Moles, of Dewey; five daughters, Dianna Banks of Bartlesville, Elizabeth Booth of Bartlesville, Dona Garner of Bartlesville, Bernice Moles of Bartlesville and Leslie Moles of the home in Dewey; one brother, Virgil Moles of Skiatook; two sisters, Nellie Purcell and Dorothy Horn, of Hominy, seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, and foster daughter Shelly Scullawl of the home.
