POLLY JO FUCHS
1949 - 2000


Polly Jo "Jody" Ellis Fuchs of Maud died Friday in Shawnee. She was 51.
She was born July 30, 1949, in Fairfax. She was the daughter of Joe and Polly Patterson Ellis.
She graduated from Macomb High School and earned an associate of arts degree from Sayre Junior College. She has lived in Macomb most of her life, living a short time in Sayre.
On September 4, 1982, she married Delbert Fuchs on Fuchs Farm in Macomb.
She worked at the zoo caring for animals, was a cashier and stocker at Pratt's in Tecumseh and raised and sold exotic animals.
She was a member of Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh and of the Moore Home Demonstration Club. She was listed in the "Who's Who of American Colleges."
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Fuchs of the home; son, Russell Fuchs of Maud; brother and sister-in-law, Bennie and Francis Ellis of Sayre; three grandchildren, Tommy, Mara and Kasondra Fuchs all of Mustang and numerous friends and family.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Church of Christ, Tecumseh with Don Fuchs and Bob Anderson officiating.
Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery.
Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh is in charge of arrangements.
