Richard (HB) Hicks went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2015.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Greater First Baptist Church with Pastor Micheal Diggs officiating.

Interment will be in Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Richard Emery Hicks was born May 9, 1974 in Coffeyville, KS to Patricia Hicks. Richard loved his wife, Monizure (Jeanie), his dog, Beautiful, but most of all, his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. He enjoyed BBQing and worked very hard at making others happy. He became a member of Westside First Baptist Church in 2013 and was very excited to tell anyone he met about his love for his church and pastor.

Richard is survived by his wife, Monizure (Jeanie) of the family home, two daughters; Kortney and Essence and son, Michael. His twin brother, Robert Hicks and brothers; Farris Hicks and wife Constance, Brian Curtis, aunts; Alice Ledman and Gloria Hicks, numerous nieces, nephews and scores of friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Hicks, daughter, Ebony Hicks and grandmother, Loretta Alberty.

THE FAMILY REQUESTS THAT NO DARK COLORS BE WORN TO THE SERVICES. Dinner will be served at the Nowata Senior Citizens Building after the graveside service.

The family wishes to thank everyone for all their prayers, cards, letters, food and acts of kindness. A special, Thank You, to Abraxas Hicks, James Spradling, Pastor Reverend Diggs and the Westside Church family as well as Pastor Victor Paul of the Greater First Baptist Church.
