Beverly Hester, age 80, passed away on January 5, 2019 at The Journey Home, Bartlesville, OK, with her family by her side.
Beverly was born
June 27th, 1938 and spent her childhood in Childers, OK, where she
attended school. She married Gene Hester in 1954 in Bartlesville, OK.
Gene and Beverly had 3 children, Phyllis, Mark and Danny. They lived in
Dewey for several years and eventually made their home in Copan.
Beverly and her husband Gene are the founding members of the Families
For Christ Freewill Baptist Church in Copan, where her husband is still
the pastor. Beverly helped run B&G (Beverly & Gene) auto sales, the
family business, for many years. Everyone who knew Beverly knew she
loved romance novels and Elvis Presley. Beverly, better known as Granny,
was also known for loving her grandchildren (and great grandchildren)
and making sure they had plenty of sweets when they visited. Beverly
also loved to travel, with her favorite place being the mountains in
Colorado.
Survivors include: all 3 children, 11 brothers and sisters, 9
grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by: both parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
