Robert R. Lesage, Jr., of McLoud was born September 21, 1957 in Greenville, South Carolina to Julia Goodall Lesage and Robert Roland Lesage, Sr. He passed away February 26, 2011 in McLoud, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years.

Robert served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and was a veteran of the Gulf War. After the military he was an aircraft mechanic for AAR Oklahoman. Robert was a member of the Paralyzed Veteran Association and served on the Board of Directors; also a member of Disabled Veterans of America, the Masonic Lodge and Multiple Sclerosis. He was a member of Soldier Creek Baptist Church in Midwest City. Robert had grown up in Midwest City and lived in McLoud since 1996.

Robert was preceded in death by his father; sister, Teresa Hall and his wife, Margaret Louise Howell Lesage.

Surviving family include his mother, Julia Goodall Crum, Harrah; son, Robert R. Lesage, III, Portland, OR; step-son, James Nelson, Peru, IN; sister, Deborah A. Moffett, Moore; half-sister, Patty Lesage; half-brother, Michael Lesage; granddaughter, Breona Lesage ;numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and his fiancé, Karen Hansen, of Indiana.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 10:30 am at Hickory Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tim Ashcraft of Woods Baptist Church in Choctaw.

Interment will be at Hickory Cemetery. Interment and professional services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
