Dorothy May, 79, of Purcell, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Norman Regional Healthplex.

Dorothy Marie Anderson was born August 6, 1941, in Carnegie, OK, the oldest of three children and only daughter born to William Vernon “Andy” Anderson and Wanda Faye (Newton) Anderson. Dorothy spent her early years in Carnegie, as well as Anadarko, Sulphur, Muskogee and then Oklahoma City.

She married Bruce Wyatt and to this union, four children, daughters, Rhonda, Reneica and Relinda and son Randy were born.

Dorothy worked as a professional house cleaner for many years. She lived in Oklahoma City for a time, before settling in Purcell in 1964.

She later married Bud May and they welcomed daughter Kelly to the family.

Dorothy cherished her family, and especially her grandchildren. She was the ultimate collector, and looked for anything and everything angels and dolls.

She was a woman of great faith and longtime member of the Liberty Tabernacle.

She was a fun loving and kind hearted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed!

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bud May; her son-in-law, Rick Pruett and her parents, Andy and Wanda Anderson.

Dorothy is survived by: her son, Randy Wyatt and wife Trisha of Sand Springs, OK, daughters, Rhonda Wyatt of Broken Arrow, Reneica Groover and husband Terry of OKC, Relinda Pruett of Lantana, TX and Kelly Boyd and husband Kris of Norman; two brothers, Kenny Anderson and wife Patsy of Lexington and Rick Anderson and wife Holly of Monrovia, CA; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 19, 2021, at Little’s Chapel, Wilson-Little. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed on our website, www.wilsonlittle.com and our Facebook page, Wilson Little
