Peltier and Estelle Chambers.   Darlene grew up a farm girl near Wanette.   She first attended Jumper Country School and later Wanette High School, graduating with the class of 1961. While in high school she worked for her grandparents at their country store. After high school she moved to the OKC area, attended business school and worked for Fred Jones Ford. Darlene worked for many years as a teacher’s aide and as a secretary for Wanette Schools. Then while in her 50’s she enjoyed traveling to various countries and staying with Kenneth while he worked overseas.   Two years after Kenneth passed away in 1998, Darlene moved to Purcell to be close to her daughter and grandchildren.
