Edwin Lee Faubion Jr was born August 13, 1957 in Oklahoma City, the oldest of 10 children born to Edwin Sr. and Leona Reba (Cates) Faubion. He was raised in Oklahoma City and attended school there.

Pete married young, to Carole Roberts and her daughter Caroline, and they completed their family when son Joseph was born. In the early 1980’s, Pete worked in the oil field for Geolograph Pioneer. This was a good time for Pete and his young family flourished. Pete later worked for the City of Oklahoma City in the Southwest Airport Division. It wasn’t long before he transferred to the Northwest Division Will Rogers where he worked as a horticulturist. Pete was a natural botanist and he dearly loved his work there. Pete was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and eventually medically retired.

He was an overcomer and faced many challenges day to day. But he stayed busy and was always working on something. He was a master wood worker and shared his craftsmanship with his family and friends, and even taught woodworking. In 1989, Pete met Kathy (Martin) Moody. They were married on May 30, 1991, and two families became one. They made their home in Newcastle, and enjoyed camping and fishing together. Pete loved family gatherings, loved cooking for his family and friends, and genuinely just enjoyed having everyone together. He was a man of great faith and a 32nd Degree Mason. For the last 10 years, Pete lived in Oklahoma City to be closer to his son Joseph and his family. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Kathy Faubion; his parents, Ed Faubion and Leona Hicks; brother Willis Batson; sister, Donna Sue Batson and Kathy’s son, David Moody.
