The following is an excerpt from the same paper.

CASES OF INFLUENZA DECREASE IN NUMBER

During Past Two Days 999 cases Have Been Discharged and 545 New Ones Reported. Death Yesterday Elizabeth Anhalt, age 38, 1312 South Perriman. (four other people also died). Influenza in Tulsa seemed to remain about as usual throughout Wednesday. A great number of calls for physicians and nurses were received from all over the city at headquarters, but the epidemic does not seem to be either spreading or receding as yet.

Mrs. C.J. (Elizabeth) Anhalt died Wednesday morning October 16, 1918 in Tulsa, supposedly of the influenza. The Anhalt family had recently moved from Purcell to Tulsa.
Their many Purcell friends offer their sympathy to the bereaved.
