November 18, 1936 - December 27, 2019

James (Jim) Andrew Kness, born November 18, 1936, went to be with his Lord on December 27, 2019.

Jim is survived by his wife of 64 years, Clara Yvonne (Hancock), his son Jerry, his daughter Lenee (Milam), his son Mark, and his sister Jeannie (Terrell).

He is preceded in death by his first son James Junior; his parents Martin Henry and Audi Louvina (Ralston); his brothers George, Joel, and Jesse; and his best friend Newt Jackson.

Jim was an avid fisherman, collected arrowheads, and was a Mason for 59 years. He served ten years in the U.S. Air Force and another six years in the Oklahoma National Guard. He worked at Vance AFB, worked for Cardinal Chemical, the Western Company of North America, and then for the City of Enid until he retired.

Visitation with the family is Tuesday, December 31, 2019, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Services will be led by Pastor Jesse Johnson Thursday, January 2nd, 10 a.m., at Trinity Baptist Church, 1818 E. Chestnut, Enid. Burial will be the same day at 2 p.m. at Orion Cemetery, west of Fairview, Oklahoma, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials for the Shriners Children's Hospital can be made through the funeral home. Online guestbook and condolences at www.andersonburris.com.
