March 10, 1951 - June 14, 2019

Funeral services for Laddie Udean Gaylord, 68, of Fairview, will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Elm Grove Community Church with Reverends Orville White and Walt Spradling officiating. Burial will follow in the Orion Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Visitation with the family present will be held Wednesday, June 19 from 6-8 p.m.at the funeral home chapel.

Laddie was born in Enid, Oklahoma on March 10, 1951 to Winston Udean and Madeline Anna (Hurt) Gaylord. He was raised in Fairview, Oklahoma where he attended school and graduated with the Class of 1969. After high school he went to Southeastern Oklahoma State University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation. During college he met Sandra Lee Stuart and they were married on December 28, 1972. After graduating from college in 1974, he got a job offer in Gallup, New Mexico. He worked for a charter service there for eight years as an aircraft mechanic and then went to work for the Navajo Indian Tribe at Window Rock, Arizona, for two years, as Director of Aviation. In 1984 Laddie moved the family to Ponca City, Oklahoma where he got a job with Conoco Oil Company as an aircraft mechanic. Later the company changed to Conoco/Phillips and moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where he retired in 2011. He and Sandy moved back to the family farm in Fairview in 2012.

Laddie is survived by his wife Sandy of 46 years, his sons; Stuart Udean Gaylord and Stanton Earl Gaylord both of Stillwater, one brother Larrie Gaylord and wife Linda, one sister Nancy Chadd and husband Mike,

Preceding him in death were parents, Udean and Madeline Gaylord.

Memorials may be made to the Elm Grove Community Church Youth Program with the funeral home acting as custodian for the funds.
