June 3, 1977 - September 21, 2004

Funeral service for Ernest John "E.J." Burgin, 27, will be Friday, Sept. 24, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ringwood with Rev. Terrill Parvin officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery south of Ringwood with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. The casket will be open at the funeral home in Helena today from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church after the service. E.J. was born to Madlyne Jantzen Burgin and Mike Burgin on June 3, 1977, in Canadian, Texas, and died on Sept. 21, 2004, near Drummond in a car accident.

E.J. is survived by his wife, Tracy of Enid; one daughter, Jessica of Enid; three sons, Ryan, Tyler and Hunter of Meno; his mother, Madlyne Burgin and friend, Don Hartman of Meno; his father, Mike Burgin and wife, Debbie of Meno; four brothers, Mikey, Wes, Justin and Shane Burgin and wife, Telisha; two sisters, Debbie and Tracy; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnnie & Mildred Jantzen, Becky Parks and Wayne and Ruth Burgin; one uncle, Cecil Jantzen and one aunt, Leota Jantzen.

The family requests that memorials be given to the funeral home in lieu of flowers to help defray the cost of the service.
