Tommy L. Smith, age 76 of London, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He was born September 30, 1946 in Ringwood, Oklahoma to the late Warren and Leona (Straw) Smith. He married Mary Jane (Harris) Smith on June 29, 2001. Tommy attended Eastern Oklahoma State University, where he graduated with a Major in History. He attended Martin Chapel Assembly of God Church in London. He also was a 14 year veteran of the United States Air Force and also served in the Vietnam War. He was a crew chief on C130 and later became an Air Traffic Controller. He retired from XTO Entergy in Oklahoma and Arkansas as a lead pumper and was a member and secretary and treasurer of River Valley Trikers Chapter. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jim Smith and one grandson, Thomas Young.

Survivors include his wife of the home for 22 years, Mary Jane Smith of London; his children, Jody (Kyle) Yates of Greenwood, South Carolina, Mary Ann (James) Scott of London, Arkansas, Sheila (Ray) Young of Dardanelle, Arkansas, Donald (Kimberly) Cagle of Neosho, Missouri, Wessley (Kayla) Smith of London, Arkansas, Mary Kathleen Smith of Sulfur, Louisiana, Tina Cochran (Michael Johnson) of Russellville, Arkansas; one sister, Jerry LaPlant of Ephrata, Washington; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Jerry Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.
