The funeral for Earlene N. Wells, 67, of Fairview, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at First Baptist Church, Fairview. The Rev. David Mendenhall and Kris Ewbank will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery . Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc., Fairview. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and prior to the service at the church.

She was born Oct. 31, 1940, in Texas, to Madelynn Maleta Tibbals Hollums and died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Integris Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City.

She was raised by her adoptive parents, Charles and Rose Darrow, near Chester. She attended school in Longdale until the death of her father. She then moved with her mother to Fairview where she attended school and lived until her death.

She married Willis Outhier in 1957 in Arkansas. He died in 1965. She attended Enid Beauty College and started a career that spanned more than 40 years.

She married Del Zahorsky in 1967 in Oklahoma City. They owned the Conoco Filling Station in Fairview and she worked as a beautician.

She married Gene Wells in 1976 in Fairview.

Surviving are her husband, Gene, of Fairview; one son, Steve Zahorsky of Flower Mound , Texas; three daughters, Pam Sells and Debbie Scott, both of Shawnee, and Lisa Gracey of Norman; three brothers, William D. Wyatt of Houston and Bobby Lee Wyatt and Carl Ray Hollums, both of Midland, Texas; one sister, Penny Warkentin of Dallas; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Willis, she was preceded in death by one son.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Baptist Church.
