Christina Davis Smart
(December 3, 1908 - April 3, 2008)

Mrs. Christina Davis Smart was born December 3, 1908 to Jiles "Doc" Davis, Sr. and Winnie Davis, in Kaufman County, Texas.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Church of God In Christ. She continued her Christian Journey in Fellowship jointly with Mt. Vernon Methodist Church and Jefferson Baptist Church in Crescent, Oklahoma until her health failed her.

She grew up in Wetumka, Oklahoma and later moved outside of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Christina met Nathaniel "Nathan" Smart and united with him in holy matrimony, April 15, 1929, in Guthrie. She was fondly known as "Tina" to her husband and she lovingly called him "Nat".

To this union one son was born and preceded both Nathaniel and Christina in death.

She was an individual whose life exemplified Christian Love. She loved everyone and expressed that by using her many God given talents. One of her talents was making Quilts and she freely gave them to family and friends. Cooking was also another one of her talents. You never left her home hungry.

She believed that she was her brothers and sisters keeper. All will miss her nurturing spirit. She served to encourage all to reach their highest potential.

Christina departed this life Thursday, April 3, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, two sisters and five brothers.

She leaved behind to cherish her memory her brother, Matthew Davis, Sr. of Crescent, Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Lighthouse Church Of God In Christ with Rev. Edwin House officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
