J. M. Babcock, honored citizen of this city for nearly a quarter of a century passed to the great beyond Wednesday, October 21 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. S. Raney, 418 N. Washington, with whom he had lived for many years. Mrs. Raney is the only one of 7 children now alive. He has a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, a number of whom were present at he time of his death. Internment will be made in the Mt. Hope Cemetery by the side of his wife, who died several years ago. Rev. Mansfield will conduct the funeral services at the home Friday morning at 10:30.
