Mary Jane (Jeffries) Fields


Funeral services for Mary Jane Fields were held at 10:00 a.m. Sat. April 7, 2007 in the Luther High School Auditorium under the direction of Brown's Funeral Parlor in Luther. Burial was in Evansville Cemetery in Logan County.

She was born December 15, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Claude and Agnes Jeffries and passed from this life on April 4, 2007, at the age of 61.

She married Glen Fields on January 3, 1973 and to this union was blessed with two children.

They started the Hickory Hills Volunteer Fire Dept. in 1985 where she retired in 2006. Mary was a Matriarch in the Luther area. At the time of her sudden death, she was working at Tinker AFB.

Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Glen Fields of the home, daughter Mary Ann Fields of Luther, son Jerry Fields and his wife Row of Wellston, stepchild Tara Poling of Edmond, brother Don Jeffries and his wife Debi of Luther, sister Helen Brown and her husband Ralph of Midwest City, grandchildren, Lana, Craig, Jeff, Joe, Megan, Justin, Lisa, Lainey, Mecalie and Kylie, great grandchildren Landon and Crevan as well as a host of other family and friends.
