Rosemound Cemetery



A memorial service for Allen Clark Schuermann Sr., 83, of Stillwater, formerly of Wichita, Kan. will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford.

He was born March 1, 1922, at Jefferson to William C. and Matilda Dieckhoner Schuermann and died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005.

He graduated from Medford High School. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps in Greenland, Iceland and the North Atlantic.

He worked for Colorado Highway Patrol at Denver and established its first state-wide communication system. He operated a radio and television repair service in Medford and retired after 30 years with Boeing company as an electronics technician in Wichita, Seattle and Guam.

He was a past president of Wichita Amateur Radio Club and Quarter Century Wireless Association.

Surviving are his wife, Madeline of the home; three children, Allen Jr. of Stillwater, Dona Fahnestock of Wichita and Kay Alvis of Cortez, Colo.; one sister Phyllis Scouten of Medford; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son.
