ENID — Funeral service for Jerry Buchanan, 73, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Medford, with Rev. Bobby J. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford, with arrangements being made by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Medford. Visitation for Jerry will be 2-6 p.m. today, March 10, 2013.

Jerry was born Jan. 9, 1940, east of Nash, Okla., to Ralph and Lena (Weichold) Buchanan.

Jerry was the fourth of seven children and attended Nash schools.

Jerry married Joleen Fisher Sept. 13, 1959, in Medford, Okla., and after a brief time in Missouri, moved to Medford to start their life together. Jerry and Joleen were blessed with three sons, Roger, Calvin and Danny.

Jerry and Joleen celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in September 1984. Joleen preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 1985.

Jerry married Carolyn Robinette Nov. 6, 1987, in Medford, Okla. Jerry and Carolyn celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in November 2012.

Jerry worked for Clyde Co-op in Medford and their other locations for over 361?2 years, before retiring in January 2002.

Jerry enjoyed spending his retirement crafting handmade items for family and friends. Jerry also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Joleen; son, Calvin Buchanan; son-in-law, Billy Whitt; and great-grandson, Landyn Wade Graham.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; son, Roger and his wife Cindy of Houston, Texas; son, Danny of the home; stepdaughter, Geraldine Rose Whitt of West Liberty, Ky.; stepdaughter, Mary Jane and Alvin Ashcraft of Chandler, Okla.; stepson, Dan and Regina Robinette of Tryon, Okla.; stepdaughter, Shirley and Jerry Bibby of Wakita, Okla., and stepdaughter, Ruth Graham and Kevin Guinn of Coalgate, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Billy of Arkansas.

Remembrances can be made in care of Wheatheart Nutrition in Medford with the funeral home serving as custodian.
