Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Norma Jean (Bradley) Barton, 87, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Garland Road Baptist Church, with the Rev. Andy Teague officiating. Interment will follow at Pond Creek Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. today, Feb. 8, at the funeral home.
Norma was born Aug. 24, 1927, in Jefferson, Okla., the daughter of Harry and Elsie Eckleberry Bradley, and passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at her home.
Norma was a graduate of Enid Business College and was later employed as a technical secretary with a metal manufacturing company.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served in the church preschool for over 35 years. She will be remembered as a kind, caring and loving person to her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Harlan Wayne Barton and wife Debbie of Anna, Texas, and Dr. Dennis Ray Barton and wife Janey of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren, Michael Barton and wife Debbie, Melissa Taylor and husband Tim, Patrick Barton and wife Stephanie and Jessica Barton; five great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Bradley of Tuttle, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
The family wishes to express special appreciation to Sheri Monkers and Shirlene McKee and to the Hospice Circle of Love for their special care and support.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cherokee Strip Heritage Center Education Programs, Enid First Baptist Church Pre-School, YMCA or Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
