ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Freda Alcorn, 79, of Enid, Okla., will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Chapel. The Rev. Terry Chick will officiate. Burial will follow at Pond Creek Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 29, 1934, to Fred and Ruth Fern (Ford) McCaflin in Grant County and passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, in Enid.

She grew up in Bluff City, Kan., and graduated from Bluff City High School.

She worked at Sunny Side Nursing Home and as a home health care giver.

She married Billy Ray Alcorn on March 20, 1998. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Malon and wife Marilyn Alcorn of Enid, Mike and wife Connie Alcorn of Enid, and Donnie Alcorn of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Glenda and husband Larry Halcomb of Fairmont, and Rita Alcorn of Enid; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Imojene Kisner of Ark City, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Shutler, and sister, Leona Ragians.

Memorials may be given to Ross Hospice with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
