Marvin W. Janzen, born Aug. 2, 1918, in Gotebo, Okla., to John J. Janzen and Susie Anna Voth Janzen, went to be with his Lord on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at the age of 95.

The family moved to Medford when Marvin was approximately two years of age. He attended school in Medford and Oklahoma Bible Academy.

He married Regina Pauline Isaacs on Oct. 17, 1939. To this union, three children were born: two sons and a daughter.

He successfully farmed, raising wheat and cattle, seeing major changes in the methods of farming over many years. He retired in 2008.

Marvin was an active member of Medford Mennonite Church, where he served for many years as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and also served in many other areas as he saw a need.
