Lamont Cemetery


Lamont – Margaret Belle Keeler, 91, a resident of the Westhaven Rest Home at Stillwater, died Thursday in a Stillwater hospital. Her service will be 3 PM Saturday in the United Methodist Church at Lamont with the Rev. Lloyd McNeil, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Lamont Cemetery under the direction of McCafferty – Bolick Funeral Home, Lamont.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 2 PM Saturday with the casket remaining closed at the service. The family will receive guests in the fellowship hall of the church following the service.

Mrs. Keeler was born January 3, 1887, in Heath Hill, New York, and had resided in Stillwater since 1972. Prior to that time, she had made her home in the Lamont area since 1912. On October 20, 1910, she married Dr. Elon T. Keeler at Hunter. She was a member of the Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Garden Club.

Survivors include two sons, Elon Theodore and Clinton C., both of Stillwater; one brother, Clarence Meeker, New Jersey; four grandchildren; and five great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elon, in 1952, one daughter, one brother and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church at Lamont.
