ENID, Okla. — Bobbie “Bob” S. Grayson, 76, of Enid, Okla., died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at home. Bob was born Sept. 1, 1937. He was the son of Orpha and Opal Grayson.

He graduated from Gore High School in 1956.

Bob served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1959.

He was employed for 15 years at Serv-Air as a maintenance mechanic and served as a crew chief. Bob then moved to Champlain Petroleum for 20 years. After retirement, Bob turned his sights to full-time farming and ranching in Grant County, Okla.

He was married on the 21st of March 1959, in Clearwater, Fla., to JoAnn Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orpha and Opal; his brother, Billy and family; and a sister, Francis Nipper.

Bob is survived by his wife, JoAnn; daughter, Debbie Owen; son, Bill Grayson; five sisters, Betty Clark, Patty Maphet, Carol Fouts and husband Jim, Linda Overton and husband Merlin, and Peggy Reid and husband Lynden; a brother-in-law, Charles Nipper; two grandchildren, Andrew Owen and wife Racheal, and Lauren Grayson; and one great-grandson, Landon Owen.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today, Aug. 6, 2014, at Wilson Funeral Home in Pond Creek, Okla., for viewing. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Christian Church in Nash, Okla. Interment will be at Hawley Cemetery immediately following. Bob asked for all attending to dress casual.

Memorial contributions may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or a charitable foundation of your choosing.
