Ramon was born October 24, 1927 on the family farm east of Medford to Peter H. and Augusta (Thimm) Reimer. He attended Banner Country School and graduated from Medford High School in 1945.

He married Marian Krehbiel on October 24, 1948 at the Deer Creek Mennonite Church. He was drafted in 1955 and served two years at a nursing home in Pennsylvania in Alternative Service as a Conscientious Objector. They were blessed with three sons: Delane, Bruce, and Krey. He spent his entire career raising wheat and Angus cattle on the farm and ranch near Medford. This gave him great joy and inspiration for his pastime of writing poetry. He authored three children's books (all in rhyme) in his later years.

After retiring, Ramon and Marian volunteered periodically with several month-long service projects in five different states. This was a very rewarding and enjoyable part of their retirement. Ramon's last years were spent enjoying their sunroom overlooking their land on Pole Cat Creek east of Medford. There, he could watch the cattle and wildlife. This past October, Ramon and Marian celebrated 70 years of marriage filled with love and service to the Lord and their family.

Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Augusta Reimer; three brothers, Milton Reimer, Lee Reimer and Donald Reimer; four sisters, Edna Reimer, Irma Krehbiel, Arlene Reimer and Maedean Reimer.
