Proyer Leslie BALDWIN
Pryor Leslie Baldwin, son of Arthur and Maggie Baldwin, was born June 12, 1903, on a farm southeast of Garber, and he departed this life on August 2, 1957, on the homestead where he was born.
He attended the rural neighorhood school, the Covington high school, and two years in the Edmond schools. He had worked for a number of years in the oil field and was also engaged in farming. He had spent his entire life in the Garber-Covington community and was well known throughout the county.
Mr. Baldwin was married to Nan Payne on October 29, 1949, at Ozark, Frnaklin Co. Arkansas. His father, mother, one brother, and one sister preceded him in death.
Immediate surviving relatives include his wife, Nan; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson, and a nephew, Arthur Johnson, both of Kremlin, and a stepson Jack Payne of Muskogee.
He was a member of the Masonic lodge and the Order of the Elks. Let it be said of him that he was a loyal and faithful friend who had the ability to see some good in everyone.
