Eddie Cemetery
SEC-11 TWP-18 R-23

LOCATION: 8 Miles east of Arnett and 6 miles south.

This cemetery was named for Hugh Eddie. The land apparently was owned by John F. Darr in 1910, and ownership of the cemetery was passed on when the land changed ownership. In 1996 Walter McCartor was the land owner.

The location, being on the top of a hill, provides a visitor a full view of teh surrounding countryside.

We have little background information on the individuals who are buried here. One informant advised us that several of these grave sites belong to people who were starved out--one way or the other.

The late Viola Thompson had the map of this cemetery.
