Patsy Ruth Minton

Patsy Ruth Minton passed from this life August 17, 2020 at the age of 89. She was born June 4, 1931 in Montague County, TX to George Isham Stubbs and Clyde Oma Stubbs (Weldon).

Patsy married Coy Heugatter in 1947. They were married 18 years. To this union, 3 children were born; Anita Sue, Sandra Darlene, and Melvin Charles.

Patsy married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Minton, on July 31, 1975. They were blessed with 33 years of marriage prior to Dick's passing on March 16, 2009. Patsy had many jobs over the years. She worked in a broom factory, at fruit stands, in food service, and as a Certified Nursing Assistant, ultimately retiring as a CNA. Her hobbies included going to garage sales, crocheting, quilting, puzzle books and gardening. She had an impressive 'green thumb' and could turn any twig into a beautiful plant or flower. Above all, Patsy loved spending time with her family and especially cherished the time spent together at Steve and Nancy's each year for family reunions.

Patsy was preceded in passing by her parents, George and Clyde Stubbs; husband, Richard "Dick" Minton; brothers, J.T. Stubbs and Charles Stubbs; and sisters, Vera Ford and Elizabeth Phillips.

Those left to continue her legacy include her daughters, Anita Sue Martin and husband Jerry of Lexington and Sandra Idlett and husband Bob of Oklahoma City; son, Charles Heugatter and wife Rogene of Boise City; sister, known as "Sug", Joy Nancy Martin and husband Steve; grandchildren, Russell Jones, Brandon Jones, Shena Jones, Tina Cornish, Sherry Hammond, Shane Martin, Robby Idlett, and Shadlynn Maness; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Dane Jones, Brady Jones, Kori Kirk, Caden Jones, Tristan Idlett, Erika Maness, Stormie Maness, Heather Pearson, Brooklyn Butler, and Keelan Hammond. She is also survived by 8 great-great grandchildren, nieces, Debbie Phillips and Paula Duke who both helped to care for Patsy, as well as a host of many other loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Visitation for is 1:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place at 10:00am, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Condolences may be shared at Resthaven Funeral Home.
