Henrietta "Retta" Matthews, 78, passed away June 24, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK.
She was born June 15, 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK to Henry and Bertha Steen Witcher.
Retta taught elementary and was a school counselor for over 40 years, spending most of that time in the Moore Public School system. She enjoyed collecting 'Precious Moments' figurines.
Retta is survived by her husband, Melvin Matthews; three sons, Bryce Matthews, Todd Matthews and Randy Matthews; a brother, Phillip Witcher; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a lifelong friend, Winnie Yancy.
