The family invites you to privately view Mrs. Ruby Madewell on Thursday, July 18th and Friday, July 19th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ruby Madewell passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her home in Midwest City. Ruby was born September 16, 1927 in Russellville, AR.

She married Billy Jo Madewell on March 13, 1944 in Muskogee, OK. They were married for almost 70 blessed years.

A loving mother and homemaker, Ruby was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.

Friends at Friendship Pentecostal Church were gifted with her passion-filled cakes and desserts. Over the years she made sure that friends and family were ready and dressed for church by surprising us with beautiful clothing and shoes, predicting exactly what we needed and wanted.

She loved to see our faces light up with delight when we opened her presents and she never expected anything in return, except the opportunity to see us dressed to impress. She enjoyed spending time with people, never missing the opportunity to ask about their loved ones and to pray for any intentions.

She truly was an altruistic, kind, and caring wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and mother to all she "adopted" and there were many! Her beautiful smile was shared with each and every person she encountered.
