William Henry Braisher was born into this world on September 10, 1934, in Sickles, OK to Tony Willard and Laura Lu (Burton) Braisher. Henry left this world for his heavenly home on July 13, 2020, from Norman, OK.

Henry was preceded in death by Helen, his High School sweetheart and wife of 56 years.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Braisher and his wife, Shelly, and Tony Braisher and his wife, Juli; Four grandchildren, Jeremy Braisher and his wife Lyndsey, Blake (Braisher) Mwale and her husband, Madalitso, Jake Braisher, and Jennifer Braisher; Two great-grandchildren, Abigail Rose and Barrett Jeremy Braisher; And a host of other family members and friends. Henry is also preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Braisher, his mother and father, two brothers, and three sisters.

Following High School graduation from Sickles High School in 1954 and after a summer of picking peaches in Colorado, he requested that the local draft board draw his name. On October 18, 1954, Henry entered the US Army. After spending almost two years in the Army, most of it stationed in Germany, Henry returned to Oklahoma City late at night by way of the Bus Station. Helen was living in OKC at that time. He refused to wake her, so he slept all night in the Bus Station and made his way to her house early in the morning before she left for work.

Within 2 ½ months, the two Caddo County Farm kids were married. Henry entered Oklahoma City University and graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree. He immediately began a career at the Federal Aviation Agency, where he worked until he accepted Christ as His Savior while attending Capitol Hill Free Will Baptist Church in OKC and answered the call into ministry.

After answering the call to ministry, Henry immediately enrolled at Oklahoma Bible College, now Randall University, to prepare for ministry. Soon he resigned from FAA to move to Nashville to continue his training at Free Will Baptist Bible College, now Welch College. Eventually, he would earn his second Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Randall. Henry was a long time Free Will Baptist Minister, pastoring several churches throughout Oklahoma. Most of the churches he pastored were bi-vocational, where he worked a full-time job outside the church and pastored. For the last several years, he was a member of the Kingsview Free Will Baptist Church of Oklahoma City.

After faith and family, Henry loved gardening and cooking, which many of us had the pleasure of enjoying his peanut brittle, fresh asparagus, canned jellies and preserves, salsa, and vegetables. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, OU Sooners, and the number one fan of the Randall Univesity Saints Basketball program. He will be greatly missed in the stands.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Oklahoma City on Friday night, July 17, 2020, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The memorial service will be held at Kingsview Church at 14200 S. May Avenue, Oklahoma City, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Interment will be held at Resthaven Cemetery.
