Helen Louise Braisher was born into this world on April 6, 1937 in Lookeba, OK to Ishel C. and Dola G. Sears and went to Heaven on June 4, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Helen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Henry Braisher; Two sons, Mark Braisher and his wife, Shelly, and Tony Braisher and his wife, Juli; Four grandchildren, Jeremy Braisher and his wife Lyndsey, Blake Braisher, Jake Braisher, and Jennifer Braisher. One brother, Ishel Sears and his wife, Pat; one sister, Wilda Earp; a host of other family members and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Braisher, her mother and father, and her sister, Barbara Bradley.

A woman of strong faith, Helen was a long time Free Will Baptist and a member of the Kingsview Free Will Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. She was the Salutatorian at Sickles High School and a graduate of Hills Business College. After college, she worked for the State Department of Education and was a longtime legal secretary for several law firms. A pastor's wife, Helen's kind heart and willingness to serve influenced and touched many lives.

Helen's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. The birthday parties and holidays with her family were a time of great celebration. She had a great sense of adventure and loved to travel. Being a High School athlete herself and the Mother of a coach and college athlete, she was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and for many years held season tickets to the Oklahoma Sooners basketball teams.

Visitation for Helen will be held Friday, June 7th from 8 am until 8pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends Friday night from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at Kingsview Church at 14200 S. May Avenue, Oklahoma City at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013.
