Otha Marie Palesano McClure Of Apache, OK Was born July 12, 1923 in Fort Cobb, OK to Jim and Meeta [Carter] Palesano. She passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Lawton, OK.

Mrs. McClure grew up in the Fort Cobb/Apache area, where she met and married Cecil L. McClure on February 7, 1942 in Apache. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2007.

She worked as a bookkeeper alongside her husband at Long's Hardware, then later in their family-owned plumbing, electrical and appliance sales businesses in Apache. She was actively involved in the community as a member of the Apache Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. In 2004, she was recognized as an Apache Town Treasure. She was also once a member of the GWC Apache Study Club.

Mrs. McClure was an active member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Apache and served in many capacities over her lifetime. She was a highly respected student of the Bible and taught Sunday School and Nursing Home classes for many years. Some of the other positions in which she served included Women's Ministries President, Church Secretary/Treasurer, VBS Director and Bus Ministry Director. She also served as West Oklahoma Conference Women’s Ministries President for several years.

She is survived by: 3 daughters and their husbands - Karolyn Marie and Bob Muse, Apache, OK, Sharon Leslie and Bud Jones, Apache, OK, Debra Sue and Jim Gadberry, Penrose, CO, 8 grandchildren - Kristy Marie Winiger and husband Steve, Garland, TX, Bobby Muse, Jr. and wife, Beth, Canton, TX, Scott Samples and wife, Amanda, Rowlett, TX, Terri Williams and husband, Ted, Apache, OK, Troy Muse, Apache, OK, Jamie Scammahorn and husband, Mike, Oklahoma City, OK, Les Jones and wife, B. Kay, Hartselle, AL, Brett Jones and wife, Heather, Puyallup, WA, Scarlett Milsaps and husband, James Thailand, Amy Dale and husband, Jon Woodland, Park, CO, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, 2 sisters - Lucille Roberts, Mustang, OK, Cecilia Green Lawton, OK, 5 brothers - James Palesano Jr., Moore, OK, Roy Palesano, Lawton, OK, Emil Palesano, Fort Cobb, OK, Dan Palesano, Lawton, OK, Bobby Palesano, Lawton, OK.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Jim and Meeta Palesano, Her husband, Cecil McClure, 2 brothers - John Palesano, Freddie Palesano, 3 sister - Blanche McClure, Meeta Bagley, Esther Palesano.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 3rd at 2:00 P.M. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with retired pastors, Bud Jones officiating and assisted by Dan Palesano and Pastor Caleb McDowell. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Apache, under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
