Alice D. Paden daughter of Robin Allen and Josephine Lucinda (Holt) Dougherty was born April 15, 1921 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 24, 2015 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 9 days.

She was a member of Four Corners Church of Christ where she was baptized September 28, 1971. She loved going to church and attended while her health permitted. She was married to Jack Paden and they enjoyed life together for many years until his death in 1997. In her younger years, she enjoyed knitting as she was taught by her mother with a needle and twine. She also enjoyed quilting, fishing and having a big garden. She was the Adair County Assessor for 25 years retiring on May 1st 1983.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; Robin and Josephine Dougherty, her husband; Jack T. Paden, siblings; Robert Dougherty, Allen Dougherty, Cleora Mann, special friend who was like a daughter; Willene Miller.

She is survived by a special friend who cared for her and was more like a son; Kenneth Miller; grandson; Larry Paden and companion Carmen Toegel, several other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral service at 1 pm on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Leon Brashear and Rick Ritter officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
